The idea of a blog was appealing when creating this site, but now that I have one, i’m not really sure what to do with it.
To be honest, I don’t feel quite ‘open book’ enough to share my everyday happenings with the blogosphere. Lots has been happening of late: beautiful things, exciting things, crazy things… but most of it is too personal to reflect on in such a public domain, at this stage anyway.
So, in considering this, the above image amused me somewhat. I feel pretty ignorant towards issues in Iraq, and apathetic towards politics in general (much to the angst of my sister), so that rules out option A. I am pretty certain i’m not writing this with the intention of option D (?!). And as for option B, well, i’m not much of a pet person.
So, apparently that leaves me with the sole blogging purpose of incoherent ranting. Like the other 20 million odd blogs already in existence, right?
Embracing this, I think I would like devote this blog to posting things which inspire me. I’m a hopeless bowerbird with a penchant for collecting random quotes, philosophy dabbles, pretty pictures and quirky odds and ends. Why not share them up here? Think i’ve just made myself an option E.
On another note, Christmas Merrimus to you all… may 2010 be a beautiful year ahead. xx
