Someone beautiful in my life once told me that success is all about showing up on the page. If you do that, then you’re half way there. Well, giving this notion a bit of a shake up, this week I decided to show the world my pages. That is, the pages of my recently published book.
Packaged delicately and with a letter straight from the heart, I sent off 8 Chrysalis books off to faraway lands and a selection of incredible people. And i’m talking Oprah kind of incredible. She’s just a person, right?

Who knows where the books will land. I’m seeing this whole exercise as a bit of an experiment. Human or not, I can imagine that hundreds and thousands of letters are constantly sent to a key media figure like Oprah. But for me, it’s all about showing up on the page… by showing my pages.
All I can do is send out my love, wonder and imagine the ‘what if’s’.
So there you go, universe.
For the record, here are my top 8 media and inspiration picks:
1. Oprah Winfrey
2. Sabrina Ward Harrison, New York (favourite artist)
3. Tim Walker, London (favourite photographer)
4. Elizabeth Gilbert, New York (favourite author)
5. Ellen Degeneres
6. Mel, Kochie and the Sunrise team (an all time favourite)
7. 60 Minutes (Channel 9, documentary style show)
8. Mornings with Kerri Anne (Channel 9)
To my beautiful 8 books, be safe.
Go now, run wild, barefoot and free.
Impact. xx

Let’s face it, it’s been a little while. So finally, on a cold, windy and grizzly kind of early morning outside, I am inspired to write.
The truth is, I haven’t actually had a journalling pen in hand for a few months. Instead, I have been enjoying a busy and beautiful life, without feeling the need or want to reflect on it all – an absolute first for me. Perhaps that’s because i’ve taken on a new creative project… in the form of a man. I am very much in love with my mister and I am so completely happy. And so now, he gets the reflections, ponderings and Em philosophy rather than the blank journal, and he even smiles back.
The impetus for writing this morning most likely stems from my 5.30am trip to the airport to drop off my lover, who is going away for work. That and my Cibo coffee in hand, which always provides inspiration. My two loves, all before 7am on a Sunday.
The past few months have been a little (very) crazy busy with promoting the Chrysalis Book, working with new clients on freelance projects and planning a certain trip around the world. Soon, i’ll be off on a big little ’round the world solo adventure to San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, Paris, regional France and London. Pretty darn excited.
Well, my coffee is getting cold, so I’d better get going and start the day. Keep a watch out this week, i’ll probably be quite productive with my website to do list. xx
